The effect of the Speed Governor Dead Band is that for a given position of the governor control valves, an increase/decrease in speed can occur before the position of the valve changes. The governor dead-band can materially affect the system response. Whether in a DC‐AC inverter or in a DC‐DC converter, these influences exhibit some similarities. Perhaps there are better solutions rather a dead band for the drive control. Temperature of two zones and buffer tank (BT) is regulated using on/off controllers. However, settings of these factors vary with topologies, power rating, semiconductors, applications, and control algorithms.
